Bose L1 Pro8

Bose L1 Pro8
It’s not huge, yet it has just the right amount of power and bottom end for smaller events and venues.
The 180-degree sound dispersion and super portability make the Pro8 incredibly popular with wedding DJs, solo or duo musicians, houses of worship, and schools.
The Bose L1 Pro8 is portable, practical, and so easy to use. It packs down into three pieces for easy transportation, it doesn’t take much space in storage or fully set up at the party. The three-channel mixer with Bluetooth and app control mean you can connect anything and everything. Phantom power, reverb, and a range of EQ settings mean you can run microphones, instruments, and backing tracks straight from the Pro8 without the need for a plug-in mixer.

“The Bose Effect”
The BOSE EFFECT. Something Bose doesn’t advertise.
Something unique happens when you start using Bose at events for the first time. Guests notice the gear. Professional entertainers will always say it’s not about the gear, that the gear doesn’t make the performance. If guests recognise and trust a brand and associate that trust with your brand, how is that a bad thing?
Bose makes a great product, your guests recognise that brand and trust you even more. Even if only subconsciously, you’re “better by association“.
Clothing and shoe labels, alcohol and beverage manufacturers, and even other electronic companies pay billions to associate their brands with celebrities and sports stars. Rugby games improve because of the boots, nightlife is more fun because of the clothing, and even a hangover is worth it because the guy from that Hollywood or those rap videos drinks the same bottle.
If guests at an event know the Bose brand, they trust the user. Win by association. No additional charge.
Stereo L1 Pro8?
Bose L1 Pro systems work a little differently compared to traditional PA speakers. For many looking at the Pro8 for the first time, it can take time to get used to the “one speaker is enough” concept.
Thanks to the truly wide dispersion with 180-degree coverage, just a single Pro16 is more than enough in most rooms. An L1 Pro in the corner of a dance floor or centre stage will fill the room with sound from side to side. Plus being a type of array speaker system, a single L1 Pro8 puts more sound at the back of the room at a “comfortable” level than a pair of conventional speakers.
That said, there’s no reason why you can’t or shouldn’t run a pair of L1 Pro8. If your playback material is mono, be sure to get at least 5 or 6 metres (side to side) between your two L1 Pro8 units.
If you’re Bluetooth streaming, you will need to ensure you can play your audio using the Bose Music app to pair with both Pro8 systems simultaneously. Alternatively, run from the line out of the first unit into the 2nd L1 Pro8 with an audio cable.
